DAVHENCO INC started in 1985 as DAVHENCO Maintenance by David Henderson as a part time janitorial business. David was a draftsman with a company designing radio frequency equipment, and in the Army Reserves at the same time. The Army was needing someone to clean the reserve center. So, he requested the paperwork to bid for the contract on the reserve center. Fort Bragg sent the bid forms for two small reserve centers; they were filled out with a bid on each reserve center. David was awarded both reserve centers and then from there he was approached by another reservist who was an insurance agent about taking on the office he worked in. Then David had changed jobs in drafting work designing scientific Labatory equipment. At the same time the little part janitorial business was providing floor maintenance services and some small home repairs. As the business was growing, the company David was for as a draftsman was downsizing. So, he took the layoff to work on his business. David decided to incorporate his business in 1990. So, July 1990 DAVHENCO Maintenance became DAVHENCO INC. and grew the business in janitorial, floor maintenance and post construction cleaning for major contractors.

Then in 1998 DAVHENCO INC. purchased Blue Ridge Carpet Steam Cleaning and added carpet cleaning to the list of services to provide. Then after receiving calls for a couple of water damage to extract water, the interest in water damage had developed. So, David started to attend the necessary schools to get certified in cleaning, inspections and restoration. Once David seen the need for providing carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning, water damage restoration, mold remediation and smoke damage restoration, the decision was made to terminate the janitorial, floor maintenance services and post construction cleaning services. Then the demand to perform water damage mitigation, mold remediation and evaluation/inspection grew and the demand for carpet cleaning had decline it was decided to terminate the carpet and upholstery cleaning services.

Today the emphasis for services is water damage mitigation, mold remediation, evaluation/inspection (water damage, mold damage, and smoke damage) and odor control services. We work with building contractors to perform all repairs or rebuilds on the damaged structure.
